It is inserted in between the rail and base plate or sleeper. Rail pad is introduced to the railway fastening system because of its resilience or elasticity which can be implemented in the intervention of fatigue cracking of sleepers. The dynamic stress from wheel or rail impact from both regular and irregular movements is attenuated. There is added advantage of reducing track maintenance and associated costs. Studded and Grooved Rail Pad
Studded and grooved rail pad can adapt to the increasing traction and axle loads of heavy-haul trains as the rail transit industry fast developing. High resilience is provided by flexural and shear deformation, the elastic recovery rate is fast.
